Mehendi is the ancient Indian art of adorning the hands and feet with intricate designs and patterns, using a paste made from the finely ground leaves of the henna plant.The result looks like tattooing, but the experience is painless and pleasant and the effects temporary. From times immemorial, Indian women have used Mehendi in celebrations of betrothals, weddings, festivals and other occasions.The adoption of Mehendi magic by Western models, musicians, and movie stars (including Naomi Campbell ,madonna,demi moore) has led to Mehendi tattoos becoming a white-hot fashion trend.Drawing Mehendi designs is a creative outlet for ladies and they adorn them for all occations nowadays. My neice kavya drew a Mehendi design on my hand ,similar to what i have painted ,on a relaxing holiday.
